Five-Spice Powder

1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp fennel seed
1 tsp star anise
1 tsp Szechuan peppercorns (berries of an Ash tree)

1. Grind all ingredients very fine
2. Use as a rub for any meat, or in BBQ sauce
