EZ Biscuits

  • 2 cups flour
  • One stick cold butter, cut into pieces.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • Pulse until cold butter is no bigger than a pea
  • Blend in 1/2 cup chives
  • Three-quarter cup half-and-half or whole milk
  • Knead and roll to about a three-quarter inch thickness
  • Use two in biscuit cutter to cut out pieces
    • Do not twist biscuit cutter, or the biscuits will not rise.
  • Put on baking sheet
  • Egg wash with egg, white and a tablespoon of water
  • Bake 400° for 20 minutes
