- 2 cups flour
- One stick cold butter, cut into pieces.
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Pulse until cold butter is no bigger than a pea
- Blend in 1/2 cup chives
- Three-quarter cup half-and-half or whole milk
- Knead and roll to about a three-quarter inch thickness
- Use two in biscuit cutter to cut out pieces
- Do not twist biscuit cutter, or the biscuits will not rise.
- Put on baking sheet
- Egg wash with egg, white and a tablespoon of water
- Bake 400° for 20 minutes
