Olive’s Ginger Snaps

  1. Combine in a bowl the following:
    • 5 TBL sugar
    • 3 TBL softened butter
    • 3 TBL unsulfured molasses
    • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
    • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp salt
  2. When above is completely mixed, add
    • 1 1/2 TBL water
    • 3/4 C AP flour – sifted
  3. Wrap the mixed ball in plastic and refrigerate 2-3 hours
  4. Roll flat on floured surface
  5. Use a cutter to cut into shapes
    These cookies WILL NOT SPREAD
  6. Brush the top with a mixture of 1 TBL water and 1 TBL molasses before baking
  7. Sprinkle top with Turbinado Sugar
  8. Bake at 375ยบ for 5-7 minutes
  9. Let cool on a rack
