color: #ff0000;\">Before we begin&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use fruit at the peak of ripeness<\/li>\n<li>Peel and slice fruit<\/li>\n<li>Measure out ingredients and set aside<\/li>\n<li>Peaches are in season first part of September<br \/>\n&#8211; Blanche to remove skins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; color: #ff0000;\">Ingredients to feed 6 people<\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/meet-grandpa\/medal\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/medal.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" align=\"right\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 C fresh fruit &#8211; your choice (eg) peaches, berries, apples<\/li>\n<li>2 C accent fruit (eg) cherries or raisins<br \/>\n<strong>Fruit Filling &#8211; Add to above fruit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 T cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>juice and zest from one lemon<br \/>\n<strong>Biscuit Topping<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 C AP flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>6 TBL COLD butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C cold milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 C cold cream<br \/>\n<strong>Final Topping<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C rolled oats or Original Oats<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C sliced toasted almonds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>3 TBL melted butter<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL maple syrup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; color: #ff0000;\">Step by Step<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400<\/li>\n<li>Clean, cut, peel and slice all fruits<\/li>\n<li>Combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Combine fruits and toss in lemon, then in sugar-cinnamon mixture<\/li>\n<li>Place in bottom of greased baking dish<\/li>\n<li>Sift together biscuit topping dry ingredients, cut in butter, then mix with liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Add milk and stir briefly.&nbsp; DO NOT overmix.&nbsp; Keep it crumbly.<\/li>\n<li>Spoon this batter over top of the fruit in lumps &#8211; flatten lumps slightly<\/li>\n<li>Brush with heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle Final topping across the top<\/li>\n<li>then sprinkle with Turbinado sugar<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 375 for 35-50 minutes or until golden brown<\/li>\n<li>Let rest five minutes before cutting<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Oh, one more thing&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"_oDd\" data-hveid=\"34\"><span class=\"_Tgc\">The cobbler takes its name from the biscuit dough crust on top &#8211;
