A few modifications have been made by Grandpa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 lb Pork Cheeks<\/li>\n<li>1 C <\/li>\n<li>1 C Coca Cola<\/li>\n<li>Zest and juice from three oranges<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C canola oil<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp liquid smoke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The day before cooking, season the pork on all sides with Thunder Powder and refrigerate for 12-24 hours<\/li>\n<li>Transfer to a roasting pan and pour the premixed Coke, sesame oil, liquid smoke and orange juice over the pork.<\/li>\n<li>Cover roasting pan with the lid or foil.<\/li>\n<li>Roast for 3 hours at 300\u00ba until pork is fork tender.<\/li>\n<li>Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.<\/li>\n<li>When you are ready to eat, brush the pork cheeks with the pan juices and slide under the broiler in you oven until crisp and browned.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Based on a recipe by Chef Jeff Smedstad of Elote Cafe in Sedona.
