We will be having lettuce in about a month. We also have peas growing that will be ready to harvest in a month or two.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a nice recipe that can be served family style.<\/p>\n<p>1 pound ground meat<\/p>\n<p>Saut\u00e9 onions, garlic, bell peppers in a deep skillet<br \/>\nDepending on your taste you may add jalape\u00f1o<br \/>\nSaut\u00e9 five minutes and set aside in small bowl<\/p>\n<p>Put 1 teaspoon canola oil in the hot skillet<br \/>\nAdd your ground meat<br \/>\nBreak apart with wooden spoon<br \/>\nIf unflavored meat, add salt and pepper and other seasonings.<br \/>\nExamples of other seasonings would be coriander, a pinch of clove, red pepper flakes, white pepper, garlic, or onion powder.<br \/>\nCook meat until browned<\/p>\n<p>Remove stem from your greens and discard.<br \/>\nChop leaves into bite sized pieces<br \/>\nAdd to hot skillet and mix with meat<br \/>\nWhen the leaves start to wilt add back in your onion mixture<\/p>\n<p>Add juice and zest from one lemon<br \/>\nSimmer five minutes and then stir in grated Parmesan cheese<\/p>\n<p>Makes one half teaspoon corn starch with 1\/2 cup white wine or beef broth<br \/>\nAdd to the pan and cook until juice starts to thicken<\/p>\n<p>Toss with your choice of cooked pasta<\/p>\n<p>Chefs recommendation is a fettuccine or rigatoni<\/p>\n<p>You can also stuff cooked cannelloni, and put in small baking dishes and top with chopped tomato and cheese, then put in oven for 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Robert@RobertAndrews.NET<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Easy Fresh Greens Skillet We are pleased that you are trying some greens from the first church guard.
