Beef tenderloin is the best but more expensive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 LB steak with lots of marbling<\/li>\n<li>3 TBL flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp corn starch<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 TBL <\/li>\n<li>2 TBL butter<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL evoo<\/li>\n<li>Onions (slivered)<\/li>\n<li>Mushrooms (heavily sauteed)<\/li>\n<li>1 carrot (julienne strips)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>1 C beef or chicken broth<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp mustard powder<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL tomato paste<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 C uncooked egg noodles<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C light sour cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step by Step<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut 1 LB steak into thin strips against the grain<\/li>\n<li>Combine flour, corn starch and <\/li>\n<li>Grill strips LIGHTLY in butter and EVOO, then set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In remaining oil, add mushrooms and cook till browned<\/li>\n<li>Add the onion slivers and cook till transluscent<\/li>\n<li>Add the carrots and garlic<\/li>\n<li>Remove veggies<\/li>\n<li>Add the tomato paste and cook till it starts to brown<\/li>\n<li>Add broth, mustard powder, and Worcestershire Sauce<\/li>\n<li>Stir to combine, then add 1 cup stock and noodles<\/li>\n<li>Let simmer 20 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and stir in 1\/2 C sour cream<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mainly it is cut strips of flank steak, sirloin steak, or round steak.
