{"id":3638,"date":"2013-09-18T21:00:36","date_gmt":"2013-09-18T21:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=3638"},"modified":"2019-01-23T15:24:40","modified_gmt":"2019-01-23T22:24:40","slug":"g-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/g-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Potato Gnocci"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Use kitchen aid with batter beater<\/li>\n<li>1-2 potatoes &#8211; Steamed 45 minutes, then cooled<\/li>\n<li>Peel potatoes and run through food mill<\/li>\n<li>Add 1 egg and 1\/2 C flour and 1\/2 tsp salt &#8211; and mix<\/li>\n<li>Add another 1\/2 C flour<\/li>\n<li>If after mixing for a while it looks kind of dry, add another egg<br \/>\nIf it looks too wet, add another 1\/2 C flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Turn onto board and mix and shape by hand until you have one large ball<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Break off tennis ball size and work by hand into log<\/li>\n<li>Cut into small bite-size pieces. Do not eat!<\/li>\n<li>Roll into a ball, press with fork. Roll onto tines of fork.<\/li>\n<li>Whatever. Just create little indentations that will retain sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Bring large pot of salted water up to boil, then reduce to a fast simmer.<br \/>\nStart gnocci . They are done when they float to the top of the pot.<\/p>\n<p>Cream Sauce<\/p>\n<p>Heat in a large pot:<br \/>\nWhole Thyme, chopped zucchini and whole garlic<br \/>\nThese classically go together.<br \/>\nAdd radiccio .
