{"id":3293,"date":"2013-05-31T16:01:47","date_gmt":"2013-05-31T16:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=3293"},"modified":"2026-04-18T10:53:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T17:53:27","slug":"baked-beans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/baked-beans\/","title":{"rendered":"Baked Beans &#8211; COLLECTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Regular ol&#8217; Baked Beans<\/h2>\n<p>2 CU prepared beans &#8211; See recipe for Dry Bean Processing<br \/>\n\u00be lb fat salt pork or 2 strips bacon<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp salt<br \/>\n3 TBL brown sugar<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp mustard<br \/>\n1\/2 onion &#8211; chopped small<br \/>\n1 TBL ketchup<br \/>\n1 clove garlic &#8211; minced<\/p>\n<p>1 a Put pork on glass plate and cover with paper towel.<br \/>\n1 b Cook in microwave 30 seconds and change towels.<br \/>\n1 c Cook another 30 seconds.<br \/>\n1 d Repeat one more time if necessary &#8211; ususally not necessary<br \/>\n2. Put cooked pork in bottom of glass casserold dish (that has a cover available)<br \/>\n3. Strain beans, reserving liquid<br \/>\n4. Add beans into pot, burying pork<br \/>\n5. Mix in all other listed ingredients<br \/>\n6. Add Reserved Liquid (from beans) pouring over top to barely, but completely, cover &#8211; use spoon to work liquid through beans<br \/>\n7. Cover with glass lid and bake 2 hours at 300 degrees<br \/>\n8.
