{"id":3238,"date":"2013-05-31T03:33:25","date_gmt":"2013-05-31T03:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=3238"},"modified":"2017-12-02T22:46:34","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T05:46:34","slug":"burger-deluxe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/burger-deluxe\/","title":{"rendered":"Burger Deluxe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1 LB medium-lean ground beef (formed into patties)<br \/>\n4 strips bacon<br \/>\n1 ripe avocado<br \/>\n1 tsp lemon juice<br \/>\n2 TBL chives (chopped)<br \/>\n2 roma tomatoes (see Special Steps) sliced thin<br \/>\n1\/2 red onion (sliced thin)<br \/>\n1 OZ Blue cheese<br \/>\n1 OZ Shart Cheddar cheese<br \/>\n1 OZ Gruyere cheese<br \/>\n4 leaves Romaine lettuce<br \/>\nKetchup, mustard and mayonayse (to taste) See Additional Notes<br \/>\n4 pepperoncinis or banana peppers (chopped)<br \/>\n2 dill pickles (sliced thin vertically)<br \/>\nsalt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>Instructions<br \/>\n1. Fry bacon (not too crisp) and set aside<br \/>\n2. Remove avocado from shell and combine with lemon juice, salt, pepper, chives and chopped peppers<br \/>\n3. Crumble or grate cheeses<br \/>\n4. Cook burger patties being careful not to overcook. Flip frequently essentially slow-cooking them.<br \/>\n5. Sprinkle on cheese near the end of the cooking cycle.<br \/>\n6. Top with remaining ingredients, and serve on high-quality deli-style burger bun using onion and lettuce to protect the bun from touching the meat (keeps it from getting soggy)<\/p>\n<p>Cut the tomato around the equator and ROLL the halves over the sink.
