{"id":2269,"date":"2012-12-28T21:32:08","date_gmt":"2012-12-28T21:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=2269"},"modified":"2019-01-13T15:46:47","modified_gmt":"2019-01-13T22:46:47","slug":"chili-for-sissies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/chili-for-sissies\/","title":{"rendered":"Chili for Sissies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 large red onions (diced small)<\/li>\n<li>2 LBS meat<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL Vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>1 Red Bell Pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 can dark kidney beans<\/li>\n<li>1 can light kidney beans<\/li>\n<li>1 can black beans<\/li>\n<li>1 entire hand of garlic<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 CU chili powder<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL onion<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp coriander<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL oregano<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp red pepper flakes<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp cayenne sauce<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp cumin<\/li>\n<li>1 can tomato puree (Hunts or Progresso)<\/li>\n<li>1 can diced tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>2 bay leaf<\/li>\n<li>2 bottles of DARK beer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Brown the meat, and set aside<br \/>\n2. Saute onions<br \/>\n3. Add cumin, coriander, oregano and red pepper to onions<br \/>\n4. Cook 5 minutes<br \/>\n5. Drain beans and add to the mixture<br \/>\n6. Heat mixture throughout<br \/>\n7. Add tomato products and everything else except the meat, and heat mixture<br \/>\n8. Cover and simmer for 1 hour<br \/>\n9.
