{"id":2159,"date":"2012-10-24T19:49:25","date_gmt":"2012-10-24T19:49:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=2159"},"modified":"2017-12-02T23:05:08","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T06:05:08","slug":"parmesian-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/parmesian-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Parmesian Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 CU water (warmed to about 100 degrees)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 CU butter (softened)<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>\u00a03 TBL sugar or honey<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp dehydrated minced onion<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp oregano<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>3 TBL dry milk<\/li>\n<li>3 CU flour<\/li>\n<li>\u00a02 TBL olive oil<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 CU parmesian cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 pkg yeast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water &#8211; let activate for 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li>2. Mix all other ingredients until smooth (reserving 1 CU flour)<\/li>\n<li>3. Let stand 15 minutes<\/li>\n<li>4. Add remaining flour<\/li>\n<li>5. Stir until soft dough forms<\/li>\n<li>6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic (about 8 minutes)<\/li>\n<li>7. Add enough flour to keep it from sticking to your hands (will still feel tacky though)<\/li>\n<li>8. Coat outside of flour ball VERY lightly with oil, put in large bowl and let rise in warm place (about 85 degrees) for 40 minutes<\/li>\n<li>9. Punch dough down, cover and let rest for 5 more minutes<\/li>\n<li>10. Cut in half, forming two loaves in loaf pans or on baking pan<\/li>\n<li>11.
