{"id":17982,"date":"2019-05-17T07:15:53","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T14:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=17982"},"modified":"2019-07-23T15:23:45","modified_gmt":"2019-07-23T22:23:45","slug":"tuiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/tuiles\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/tuiles.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/tuiles.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"143\" \/><\/a>Originating in France, this is a thin little cookie\/wafer that is laid on a rolling pin while still warm and pliable.\u00a0 It then &#8220;melts&#8221; around the curved surface of the rolling pin and hardens &#8211; making the traditional shape.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sift together 3\/4 C almond flour, 2\/3 C sugar and 2 TBL AP flour<\/li>\n<li>Melt 1\/2 stick of butter and mix with 1\/2 C heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>Zest 1 lemon and put zest in with the flour<\/li>\n<li>Squeeze lemon in with the butter and add 1\/4 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<li>Combine all ingredients &#8211; wet and dry<\/li>\n<li>Cover with plastic and let rest in the fridge overnight<\/li>\n<li>Mix again to make sure it is all combined<\/li>\n<li>Put parchment on baking sheet<\/li>\n<li>Drop by heaping teaspoon piles on parchment paper<\/li>\n<li>Bake 325\u00ba for 5-8 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Remove parchment paper from the baking sheet<\/li>\n<li>Rest for only 45 seconds<\/li>\n<li>Remove each cookie and put on a rolling pin to cool<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, you can put strips of chocolate ganache on the cookies using a piping bag<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Originating in France, this is a thin little cookie\/wafer that is laid on a rolling pin while still warm and pliable.\u00a0 It then &#8220;melts&#8221; around the curved surface of the rolling pin and hardens &#8211; making the traditional shape.
