{"id":17461,"date":"2019-03-25T16:45:22","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T23:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=17461"},"modified":"2019-03-25T16:53:48","modified_gmt":"2019-03-25T23:53:48","slug":"lemon-bar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/lemon-bar\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Bar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barb Fenzel of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Les-Gourmettes-Cooking-School\/156798151027588\">Les Gourmettes Cooking School<\/a> (here in Phoenix) prepared this recipe.\u00a0 This is my best attempt at recreating it from what I observed.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Grease a 9&#215;12 glass baking dish with butter.<\/li>\n<li>Pulse in your food processor: 3\/4 C flour, 1\/2 C confectioner sugar, 1\/2 tsp salt, and 1 stick (cut into 8 pieces) cold butter.<\/li>\n<li>Press into pan using an offset spatula.<br \/>\n<em>Don&#8217;t bother cleaning the food processor basket yet.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Bake at 350\u00ba for 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile prepare your lemon filling.<\/li>\n<li>Combine in a large mixing bowl: zest and juice from two lemons, 1\/2 C sugar, 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk, 1\/2 tsp salt and 1 TBL corn starch.<\/li>\n<li>Dump onto your baked base and spread with a spatula.<\/li>\n<li>In your food processor, combine:\u00a0 1 brick softened cream cheese, 1\/2 C sugar, and 1 egg.<\/li>\n<li>Drop it onto your lemon filling by spoonfuls.<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 350\u00ba for another 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Rest 1 hour before putting into refrigerator, and then chill 2 hours before serving.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into squares and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Barb Fenzel of Les Gourmettes Cooking School (here in Phoenix) prepared this recipe.\u00a0 This is my best attempt at recreating it from what I observed.
