{"id":16489,"date":"2018-12-19T12:06:04","date_gmt":"2018-12-19T19:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=16489"},"modified":"2020-04-16T11:13:34","modified_gmt":"2020-04-16T18:13:34","slug":"domino-cinnamon-rolls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/domino-cinnamon-rolls\/","title":{"rendered":"Domino Cinnamon Rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe is adapted from the back of a Domino Sugar box.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS: DOUGH<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 C warm water<\/li>\n<li>1 package active dry yeast<\/li>\n<li>3.5 C sifted AP flour<\/li>\n<li>1tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL Domino Granulated Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C unsalted butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS: FILLING<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/4 C butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 C Domino Dark Brown Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 C raisins<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 C chopped pecans<\/li>\n<li>Domino Turbinado Sugar (new product) for sprinkling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS: ICING<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/4 C Domino Confectioners Sugar<\/li>\n<li>2-3 tsp milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Beat eggs in medium sized bowl<\/li>\n<li>Add 3\/4 C warm water and yeast, stirring to dissolve yeast.<\/li>\n<li>Let rest on counter 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>In large bowl, mix flour, salt and sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Using a large salad fork, blend in butter until it resembles corn meal<\/li>\n<li>Slowly combine with yeast mixture &#8211; it will be lose and sticky<\/li>\n<li>On floured surface, knead by hand until smooth &#8211; about two minutes<\/li>\n<li>Add more flour to surface as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Form dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap<\/li>\n<li>Chill for at least two hours, or overnight.<\/li>\n<li>When ready to bake, roll dough into a rectangle and to about 1\/4 inch on a well-floured surface.<br \/>\nFILLING:<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins and pecans<\/li>\n<li>Brush dough with melted butter leaving a one inch border on one of the longer sides.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with turbinado sugar leaving 1 inch border<\/li>\n<li>Roll dough to form a long rope<\/li>\n<li>Using dental floss cut into half, then half again, then half again.\u00a0 You should end up with eight rolls<\/li>\n<li>In a round greased cake pan place one in the center, then space the remaining seven around the perimeter.<\/li>\n<li>Place the seam toward the center, in case of leakage.<\/li>\n<li>Allow to rise for 30-45 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle with Turbinado Sugar<\/li>\n<li>Bake in a pre-heated 350\u00ba oven for 22-24 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Turn out onto a drying rack, that is set over newspaper.<\/li>\n<li>Allow rolls to cool five minutes before icing<br \/>\nICING YOUR ROLLS<\/li>\n<li>Mix confectioners sugar and milk together until smooth<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle icing over rolls and serve<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>More recipes at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dominosugar.com\">www.DominoSugar.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe is adapted from the back of a Domino Sugar box.
