{"id":15137,"date":"2017-12-23T17:17:29","date_gmt":"2017-12-24T00:17:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=15137"},"modified":"2020-08-29T09:00:36","modified_gmt":"2020-08-29T16:00:36","slug":"english-muffins-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/english-muffins-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Old Style English Muffins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 36pt;\">NOT YET TESTED<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 C flour<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 pkg yeast &#8211; 1 TBL<\/li>\n<li>1 C milk &#8211; hot<\/li>\n<li>4 T butter &#8211; melted<\/li>\n<li>2 T sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 C very warm water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp baking soda<\/li>\n<li>1.5 oz nonfat dry milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Dissolve yeast in \u00bc cup lukewarm water with 1 tsp of your sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Scald milk and add butter, remaining sugar and your salt.<\/li>\n<li>Cool milk to lukewarm and stir in 2 cups flour.<\/li>\n<li>Add dissolved yeast.
