{"id":15125,"date":"2017-12-23T17:14:01","date_gmt":"2017-12-24T00:14:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=15125"},"modified":"2017-12-23T17:34:03","modified_gmt":"2017-12-24T00:34:03","slug":"cinnamon-spiral-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/cinnamon-spiral-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Cinnamon Spiral Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Title of Recipe:  Cinnamon Spiral Bread<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n\u00bd cu warm water (not hot 110-115\u00b0)<br \/>\n1 pkg active dry yeast<br \/>\n2 cu lukewarm milk<br \/>\n2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats<br \/>\n\u00bc cu brown sugar (packed)<br \/>\n2 tbsp soft shortening<br \/>\n1 tbsp salt<br \/>\n1 cup raisens<br \/>\n5 \u00bd  to 6 cups sifted flour<\/p>\n<p>Instructions:<br \/>\nDissolve yeast in water, in mixing bowl.  Stir in milk, rolled oats, brown sugar, shortening, salt, raisins, half of flour.  Mix with spoon until smooth.  Add rest of flour, mix with hand.  Turn onto lightly floured board.  Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 min.  Round up in greased bowl; bring greased side up.  Let rise in warm place (85\u00b0) until double in bulk\u20261 \u00bd to 2 hours.  Divide dough into 2 parts.  Round up each into a ball.  Roll each into an oblong, 15&#215;8\u201d.  Sprinkle with all except 2 tbsp. of the mixture of \u00bd cup sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.  Roll up like jelly roll, sealing tightly at the ends.  Place in 2 greased loaf pans, 9x5x2 \u00bd\u201d.  Let rise until almost double in bulk\u2026.40 to 50 min.  Heat oven to 400\u00b0 (mod. Hot).  Bake 35 to 40 min.
