{"id":13608,"date":"2016-12-25T19:12:09","date_gmt":"2016-12-26T02:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=13608"},"modified":"2019-05-17T11:04:30","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T18:04:30","slug":"sugar-cream-pie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/sugar-cream-pie\/","title":{"rendered":"Sugar Cream Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/sugar-cream-pie.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  aiif13613\" src=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/sugar-cream-pie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><strong>Ingredients for full pie crust<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 DEEP DISH pie crust, at room temperature<br \/>\n<strong>FILLING<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>4 TBL cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 C white sugar<\/li>\n<li>4 TBL butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>2 1\/4 C heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL vanilla<br \/>\n<strong>FOR TOPPING<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>4\u00a0TBL butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 C sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Alternate for ramekin<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Roll out puff pastry to line a ramekin &#8211; Bake at 325\u00ba for eight minutes<br \/>\n<strong>FILLING<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 TBL cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>3 TBL white sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>1 C heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<br \/>\n<strong>FOR TOPPING<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 TBL butter, melted<\/li>\n<li>3 tsp sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp ground cinnamon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step by Step<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.<\/li>\n<li>Place the pie crust onto a baking sheet. Or, if using a refrigerated crust, lightly grease a 9\u2033 pie pan, put the crust in, and set the pan on a baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until partially baked.<\/li>\n<li>Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and sugar until blended.<\/li>\n<li>In a medium saucepan, bring the cornstarch-sugar mixture, melted butter and heavy cream together over medium heat, stirring constantly.
