TURKEY BASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL butter<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL AP flour<\/li>\n<li>1 bay leaf<\/li>\n<li>3-4 C turkey broth (or chicken)<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL white wine vinegar<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp Grandpa&#8217;s Thunder Powder<\/li>\n<li>1 rib celery &#8211; 1\/4-inch diagonal pieces<\/li>\n<li>1 carrots &#8211; julienne strips<\/li>\n<li>1 small onion &#8211; large dices<\/li>\n<li>2 C of turkey or chicken (chopped or shredded)<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 small can of baby peas<\/li>\n<li>1TBL chopped fresh parsley leaves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS &#8211; DUMPLINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 C AP flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL butter<\/li>\n<li>2 TBL AP flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C milk<\/li>\n<li>3 TBL butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP &#8211; DUMPLINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a medium bowl, combine 1 C flour, baking powder, and salt.<\/li>\n<li>Set aside<\/li>\n<li>Melt 2 TBL butter in a small sauce pan<\/li>\n<li>Add flour and cook until it starts to brown<\/li>\n<li>Whisk in milk<\/li>\n<li>Bring to low simmer<\/li>\n<li>Combine the milk mixture with the dry ingredients with a fork<\/li>\n<li>Stir until the mixture just comes together.<\/li>\n<li>On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to about 1\/8 inch thickness<\/li>\n<li>Cut into long strips 1-inch wide.<\/li>\n<li>Cut across strips to about 1\/4 to 1\/2 inches<\/li>\n<li>Toss noodles with flour to keep from sticking<\/li>\n<li>Transfer to a large plate or baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap.<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate until ready to use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP &#8211; BASE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a heavy ceramic cook pot, melt the butter over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Whisk in the flour and salt<\/li>\n<li>Cook until golden-brown, 3 to 4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>While whisking, add the turkey broth, vinegar, bay leaf and Thunder Powder<\/li>\n<li>Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Add the celery, carrots, and onion.<\/li>\n<li>Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the turkey meat, heavy cream and peas<\/li>\n<li>Season with salt and black pepper if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP &#8211; BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Place the dumplings on top of the chicken mixture<\/li>\n<li>Gently submerge and fold into the hot liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and simmer until the dumplings are cooked through, &#8211;
