{"id":13127,"date":"2016-10-10T22:14:50","date_gmt":"2016-10-10T22:14:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=13127"},"modified":"2019-03-25T15:45:51","modified_gmt":"2019-03-25T22:45:51","slug":"monday-stroganoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/monday-stroganoff\/","title":{"rendered":"Grandpa&#8217;s Stroganoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6-8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced and heavily sauteed<\/li>\n<li>1 onion, sliced thinly and sauteed after mushrooms are done<\/li>\n<li>1 pounds 80\/20 hamburger<\/li>\n<li>1 pound ground pork.<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 C butter and 1 TBL EVOO<\/li>\n<li>1 (12 OZ) package egg noodles, cooked and drained<\/li>\n<li>&#8211;<\/li>\n<li>4 TBL all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>2 C beef broth<\/li>\n<li>1 C sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL Dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li>salt and black pepper to taste<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tsp Sambal Olek<\/li>\n<li>Optional:\u00a0 Scallion &#8211; white and greens<\/li>\n<li>Optional:\u00a0 Basil leaves<\/li>\n<li>Optional:\u00a0 Crushed red pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"step\"><span class=\"recipe-directions__list--item\">Heavily saute mushrooms in skillet and then set aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Put onion into skillet with 1 TBL olive oil.\u00a0 Saute, then set aside with mushrooms.<\/li>\n<li>Brown your meat and set it aside in a SEPARATE bowl from the mushrooms.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\"><span class=\"recipe-directions__list--item\"> In a large skillet mix in flour and butter, and stir until the flour starts to brown. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"step\"><span class=\"recipe-directions__list--item\">Stir in beef broth, and cook until slightly thickened. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, use a spoon to remove much of the congealed grease from the ground meat.\u00a0 Discard the grease.<\/li>\n<li class=\"step\"><span class=\"recipe-directions__list--item\">Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water until done, about 8 minutes.
