{"id":1065,"date":"2012-02-20T22:17:21","date_gmt":"2012-02-20T22:17:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?p=1065"},"modified":"2017-12-02T23:19:21","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T06:19:21","slug":"quiche","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/quiche\/","title":{"rendered":"Lunch or Dinner Quiche"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Start with Grandpa&#8217;s recipe for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/basic-custard\/\">BASIC CUSTARD<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/4 CU each Grated Swiss &amp; Gruyere<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 CU chopped hamburger (cooked) or ham (cooked)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 CU frozen spinach (thawed)<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp oregano<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can make this with or without a crust, but if you make one with a crust, PRE-BAKE the crust at 425 for about 10 minutes.<br \/>\nUse commercial pie crust in place of Step 5 of the Basic Custard recipe, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/basic-pie-crust\/\">MAKE YOUR OWN<\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Prepare custard as shown in other recipe<\/li>\n<li>Place the above filling into a pie crust or four small well-greased ramikins without any crust.\u00a0 DO NOT pack the fillings down.<\/li>\n<li>Slowly drizzle custard over top of filling until it &#8220;starts to show&#8221; This will be about 1\/2 inch below the top of the shell or bowl<\/li>\n<li>Top with a sprinkling of parsley.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 60 minutes at 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Allow to rest 10-15 minutes before cutting<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This recipe is for 2-4 people.
