I do like, however, to sometimes add shredded cheddar cheese or chives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Easy for Yesica to make for Eliseo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/simple-gravy\/\">Biscuits and Gravy Recipe<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/meet-grandpa\/medal\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/medal.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" align=\"right\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Basic Drop Biscuits<\/h2>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS &amp; STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>1 CU Bisquick<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 CU milk<\/li>\n<li>Mix and drop onto ungreased baking pan<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 400 for about 12-15 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For Corn Dogs add 2 TBL corn meal to the above recipe. Roll dough flat, cut into wedges, wrap around hot dogs.&nbsp; Bake as directed above.<\/p>\n<h2>Garlic Cheese Drop Biscuits<\/h2>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups Original Bisquick\u00ae mix<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup milk<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons butter or margarine<\/li>\n<li>1\/8 teaspoon garlic powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat oven to 450\u00baF.<\/li>\n<li>Stir Bisquick mix, milk and cheese until soft dough forms.<\/li>\n<li>Drop dough by 9 spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Stir together butter and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Grandpa&#8217;s Biscuits<\/h2>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 CU Bisquick<\/li>\n<li>2 stalks of chives &#8211; diced<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 CU softened butter<\/li>\n<li>(mix above lightly together)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 CU Sour Cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 CU Buttermilk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 450 degrees F<\/li>\n<li>Combine (fold) all gently until soft and sticky &#8211; DO NOT OVER MIX<br \/>\n&#8211; If too sticky or wet, add more Bisquick<br \/>\n&#8211; If too dry, add ONE tablespoon of milk<\/li>\n<li>Lightly flower your baking surface (preferably a baking stone)<\/li>\n<li>For drop biscuits<br \/>\n&#8211; Pull off golf-ball sized chunks and let drop on baking surface<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/image.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium aiif4749\" src=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/image.jpg\" alt=\"Biscuit\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\"><\/a><br \/>\n&#8211; You can moush into shape, but do not roll.&nbsp; They should be rustic.<\/li>\n<li>For more traditional biscuits<br \/>\nPull off smaller than golf-ball sized chunks and roll lightly into balls<br \/>\n&#8211; Flatten slightly, then place onto baking surface<\/li>\n<li>Brush top of bottom later lightly with butter<\/li>\n<li>Roll another and place it on top of the first layer<\/li>\n<li>Press them together<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 400\u00ba for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Drop Biscuits from Scratch<\/h2>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 CU All Purpose Flour<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL Baking Powder<\/li>\n<li>1 TBL Sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp Salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp cream of tartar<br \/>\n(sift above five together)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 CU cold butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 C cold shortening<br \/>\n(cut above into dry ingredients)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 CU Sour Cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 CU Buttermilk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sift together dry ingredients<\/li>\n<li>In separate bowl, mix wet ingredients<\/li>\n<li>Cut in shortening and butter into dry ingredients<\/li>\n<li>Combine (fold) all together gently &#8211; DO NOT OVER MIX<\/li>\n<li>Drop small chunks onto baking stone<\/li>\n<li>Bake @ 350-400\u00ba degrees for about 12-15 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Drop biscuits are just about the easiest and best thing that you can serve with breakfast.
