We&#8217;ve left the advanced classes to culinary schools where you will learn lots of advanced chemistry and theory that we don&#8217;t cover. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, we give you lots of information, allow hands-on experience, and offer tips and tricks about WHY things happen the way they do.<\/p>\n<h2>Junior Chef Classes<\/h2>\n<p>We give young &#8220;want to learns&#8221; an equal chance to cook.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/learn-to-cook\/kid-classes\/\">CLICK HERE<\/a> to look at our Junior Chef Topics.&nbsp; Age does not necessarily put a student in a Junior Chef Category.&nbsp; We will meet with the parent and student to determine their best placement.<\/p>\n<h2>Beginner Classes<\/h2>\n<p>Students will learn basic safety skills such as how to hold chopping knives, how to avoid cross-contamination, cracking and beating eggs, flipping and stirring and how to build flavors<\/p>\n<h2>Intermediate Classses<\/h2>\n<p>Students will focus on more advanced menu choices and higher heats such as hot oils, special kitchen tools, plate design, and advanced concepts such as pallard and sauces.<\/p>\n<h2>Class Overview<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Grandpa is the Chef and Instructor for the classes.<\/li>\n<li>Class size is limited to a maximum of four students, which will be grouped in similar skill levels.<\/li>\n<li>The price for 1 student private lesson is $80, 2 students for $140, 3 for $180, 4 for $200, and 5 for $250 &#8211; Custom classes are also available.<\/li>\n<li>We will attempt to match skill levels to class groups<\/li>\n<li>The student (or parent) will select the topics\/meals to be taught.<\/li>\n<li>We will prepare all that we are able within our two-hour class.&nbsp; We will eat our creations.<\/li>\n<li>All equipment and standard food stuffs will be included.<\/li>\n<li>There may be an extra charge for specialty items such as Kobe Beef or Fresh Salmon<\/li>\n<li>Students are welcomed to bring their own knives and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>We will prepare at least four (but as many as possible) of the total recipes suggested by the class.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/available-classes\/\">Available Class Overview<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Skill Levels<\/h2>\n\n<hr>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>View Tips and Tricks by Clicking Here.
