{"id":14707,"date":"2017-09-17T07:40:28","date_gmt":"2017-09-17T14:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/?page_id=14707"},"modified":"2021-03-22T16:27:32","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T23:27:32","slug":"kid-classes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/learn-to-cook\/kid-classes\/","title":{"rendered":"Junior Chef Classes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/learning-to-cook\/\">All Classes &#8211; Summary<\/a><\/h6>\n<p>This class is designed for children from age 8 through age 16 and will give your child the skills that will serve him or her for the rest of their lives.&nbsp; Parents are required to attend, and will be served coffee and pastries if they choose not to watch the class; however, parents are welcomed to watch (but not participate) in the classes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We will start with basic kitchen skills and safety tips and tricks so that the class will be injury free.&nbsp; Children will be using sharp knives, but will be taught the skills necessary for such exposure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All students will have their own hot plate and their own skillet to prepare these meals.&nbsp; They can choose to sample them here or take them home.&nbsp; <em>&#8220;To go&#8221;<\/em> containers will be provided.&nbsp; If your child has been cooking for awhile, this class might be too basic for them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandpacooks.com\/recipes\/available-classes\/\">VIEW OUR SAMPLE MENU<\/a><br \/>\nThese are only samples.
